How to read the Astrological Wheel
- The houses are read counter-clockwise starting from the Ascendant (House I, on the left).
- A strong card in an angular house (I, IV, VII, X) weighs more than the others.
- Opposite axes (I–VII, II–VIII, III–IX, IV–X, V–XI, VI–XII) are read as pairs.
- The significator at the centre sets the tone for the whole wheel: the houses that agree with it describe the fields where the theme manifests.
- Dignities are calculated around the ring: each house is modulated by its two neighbours; the significator stays neutral.
